Cash For Cars ("we," "us" or "our") buys and takes trade-ins on vehicles at 9943 Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92844. This policy explains what personal information we collect through cash4carsca.com (the "site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you ask for an offer, we collect your vehicle identification number (VIN), first and last name, phone number, email address, whether you want to sell or trade in, and your agreement to be contacted. If you call, text or email us, we keep what you share in those conversations.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site or send the form, we and our service providers collect your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. We keep a record of when and how you agreed to be contacted, including the exact wording you agreed to.
Information about your vehicle. We may use your VIN to look up vehicle details such as year, make, model, title history and recall records from vehicle data providers.
How we use your information
- To prepare, send and discuss your offer or trade-in value.
- To contact you by phone call, text message and email about your vehicle, as you agreed.
- To complete a purchase or trade-in, including paperwork, pickup and payment.
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and spam, and fix problems.
- To meet legal, tax, title and record-keeping requirements.
Text messages
If you agree, we may send text messages about your vehicle and offer. How often we text depends on your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Agreeing to receive texts is not required to sell or trade in your car. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-message consent with anyone for their own marketing.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the business and the site, such as web hosting, security and bot protection (Cloudflare), email, phone and texting services, and vehicle history data providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Parties to your transaction, such as your lender or lienholder when we pay off a loan, and the California Department of Motor Vehicles for title and registration.
- Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, customers or the public.
- A buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized.
Third-party content
The site shows a Google map and uses Google Fonts. When these load, Google may receive your IP address and browser information under its own privacy policy. Links to other websites are not covered by this policy.
Cookies
The site itself does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our security provider may set cookies that are needed to protect the site from attacks and bots.
How long we keep information
We keep offer requests for up to three years so we can follow up and answer questions. We keep records of completed purchases and contact consent for as long as the law requires, which may be longer. After that, we delete or anonymize the information.
How we protect information
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store form records outside the public part of our website, and limit who can see them. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and share it.
- Ask us to delete your personal information, with some legal exceptions.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
